Vaastu for Family/Relationships and Prosperity
This is our experience with Vaastu to date.
First, and this must be Karma, it took a year from the time we contracted for the consultation before the meeting with Kavita occurred wherein she was able to review our home and inform us of the fixes needed. I drew the floorplans, but they were not accurate enough. We contracted with an architect to do the drawings, and he took a long time to get the finished product to us. When I got off of the phone with Kavita, I felt lucky to be alive and in as good health as I was. The house, thru no fault of its own, was set to cause cancer, eye sight issues, keep prosperity away from us, etc. etc. etc. The issues I presented to Kavita which had my attention were (1) I was falling, a lot. (2) Our daylight basement flooded twice within the first 6 weeks of moving into the house. When we fixed that problem, the house again flooded from the other side of the house. (3) There were mystery water marks on the ceiling tiles in the lower level which no one could explain. After sucking all the water out of the basement the second time, I collapsed on the sofa upstairs, and noticed that the brick chimney was weeping. Water was gently flowing in small streamlets down the face of the bricks, over the hearth, and down to the floor, which then continued to the drop ceiling tiles below. Mystery solved. The flashing around the chimney was failing. We have yet to have the chimney repaired. (4) We were tired all of the time, more so than could be attributed to our long work hours. (5) We were not sleeping well, and did not ever feel rested upon rising.
Kavita told us that our master bedroom was fit for nothing except use as a storage room! She advised us to sleep in another area downstairs. This was an easy thing to immediately do, and, literally, immediately, we experienced the benefits. As soon as my head touches the pillow, my body relaxes. I sleep well, and arise rested. So does my husband. As it sometimes is with us humans, I tested the results by sleeping upstairs in the master bedroom for several nights. I discovered that I could not afford to sleep there. My energy tanked. ☹ So, I returned to the lower level in the correct zone for our sleep and rest, and my energy levels, which had suffered from the excursion into the “Forbidden Sleep Zone”, immediately were restored to my new normal – plenty of energy for life! ?
We put in place the fixes for two zones, then two more zones, then two more…and now, almost all of the fixes are in place. We experience an overall sense of well being. We are happier. I have not fallen since we began to work with putting the fixes in place. We have more energy. We are more focused. We have clear direction and intention for how we want to move forward in our service to others as healers. We have become more prosperous, not only in the area of finances, but we are meeting more people whose company we enjoy.
Then there’s the water…… Today, thanks to Alberto, this season’s first named storm, our yard flooded. Water was running like a river down the side of our detached garage. Our driveway slopes downward slightly and the water was coming so quickly that the drain in front of the garage was overwhelmed, but the garage did not flood. Let me step back to add a piece of information. When those first two floods on our lower level occurred, we discovered that the foundation was not sealed when the house was built in 1975. Our temporary ‘fix’ was to place a 30 ft long conduit at the bottom of the one downspout on the house to take the water away from the foundation. The third flood which came from the other side of the house happened months later and was the result of water seeping through the foundation walls. Today, as I slogged through the standing water all around the house, I knew that our lower level was dry as a bone.
We had in place almost every fix Kavita gave us, and I knew those water issues are no longer in our world. I went downstairs, and everything was dry. Not even a drop of moisture! I then checked the chimney. And remember, we have not repaired the flashing on the roof around the chimney. In spite of this, with over 8 inches of rain, torrential rain, in less than 10 hours, there was no water coming in through the chimney. In spite of the earth being saturated from heavy rains for the three preceding weeks resulting in the water having nowhere to go, it did not ‘go’ into my house! No access through foundation or roof or chimney. To me, this is nothing less than a miracle and only can be attributed to Vaastu. YEAH!!! And Double YEAH!!!! My husband is equally appreciative and happy about this! ?
A couple of months ago, I sent Kavita my ‘Fix Chart’. What a blessing and a value to have this ongoing conversation with her regarding our home. She informed me that I had accidentally put two fixes in the incorrect zones. I immediately removed them.
My husband and I plan to build a new home in the next couple of years. We will engage the services of an architect, who will collaborate with Kavita so that the house is Vaastu compliant from the start. We cannot thank Kavita enough for her years of study, testing in her own home to make sure her recommendations are accurate, her ability to listen to her intuition to customize or modify a fix to meet the needs of the people with whom she works and the structure she is working on, with, and for them. We believe that ill health has been averted, and that our improved health is the result of the energy changes we are experiencing because of this work. We do other work in the world of energy, and it is now supported by a firm foundation in the home in which we live.

We have moved into our new house and are busy unpacking and setting things up. I can 200% tell you the energy flow in our new house with the changes recommended by you has been amazing. We wanted to share our experiences working with Kavita, a truly genuine soul who is always ready to help. Kavita has been helping us with vaastu for our house for sometime now. We would like to share some of our experiences that we have seen since we have started vaastu.
Before Vaastu we had a lot of churn in the house and the environment used to be argumentative, friction between parents/kids and some health issues. After initial consultation, Kavita suggested an initial set of antidotes and changes to paint colors to suite specific rooms, clear the clutter (which is key) in order for clean positive energy/prana to flow in. She also asked us to note down the changes and observe thereafter. Based on the above recommendations, we started making changes slowly and made notes of when/what was changed.
We would like to share some experiences of how the vaastu changes have tremendously helped our family to be more loving and how things have worked out. The atmosphere in the house has calmed down and is much more peaceful and there is lot more understanding between us and we are leading a more happy and fun-filled life.
One of the changes was to add more pertinent color to our daughter’s bed room and place some antidotes, change the location where she should actually study and above all change the direction of where she should sleep. Our daughter albeit smart and intelligent was lethargic and not performing to her full potential. With the changes her whole outlook to school work changed, her lethargy disappeared, due to which her grades jumped several notches and she started getting 4.0 GPAs. All this boosted her own self confidence and outlook to life. We can’t thank Kavita enough for this major shift which is the best thing to happen for us.
One other change was to shift the position of our TV and now we watch programs that the family is interested and we are together enjoying movies or sports.
The other important incident that happened was when I was on the lookout for a job, we changed the color of one of our rooms to align with the zone color and right about the time when we completed the painting the phone rang literally and I got the offer. It was incredible and it is one of the happiest jobs I have taken on. Thank you again Kavita from my heart.
This incident happened recently, our daughter had a key Biology exam last week and she had studied well for sure and we also did the cleansing of the brain and energizing and praying to the almighty before her test. In the evening when I picked her back up, she was upset because the teacher had asked something in the test that they had not seen in the study material or discussed in class etc etc . We left it at that and consoled her, that she had done her best and she should not worry. As normal I picked her up in the evening on Monday this week from school and asked her how her day was, she was on cloud 9, because her grades in the Biology test was beyond her expectations, she had gotten high score, which was well above the class average. Told her about the cleansing and prayers we did that Kavita had taught us and she was very very thankful for Kavita’s magic. Again we are very thankful and grateful to Kavita for all the esoteric knowledge she shares with us.
In addition to vaastu, we have been exposed to Pranic Healing through Kavita’s classes. Pranic Healing has also helped us a lot. We right now have some knowledge to heal and cleanse ourselves, the environment we live in and family members . The twin hearts meditation is a great boon to society, it not only helps one to heal themselves, but it also helps one to be part of healing mother earth and her children. Kavita is a great teacher and based on her tremendous experience, she provides practical tips and tricks to make ones life less intimidating and more enjoyable.
In summary, vaastu and Pranic Healing have had a very positive influence of our lives. Kavita is an expert in the complicated science of vaastu and Pranic Healing and is always willing to share the tremendous ancient and esoteric knowledge she has with all. God bless Kavita and her family.

Dear Kavita: I apologize for the delayed update email but life has been like a roller coaster that I was not sure where I was. We completed most of the changes though have been having trouble keeping it clutter free. Following are some of the observation over past 3 months:
Relationship: That was one of the major problems I indicated. Over these 3 months, we don’t blame each other as much,even my husband’s complaining has minimized a lot. He and my older son G used to fight a lot, they cannot even be in the same room for more than certain time without having heated arguments.
So their arguments have reduced to like discussions, they have started doing things together, they are going out for tennis/spa/gym. G seems more loving , spends more time with us,looking at photos, discussing future, past happy memories. Don’t remember ever doing that with him.
N my younger son, who somehow became aloof over the past year is also coming out slowly, he is more happy, jumping around/goofing around ,very happy to see that. He seems to be talking a lot again (atleast to me)
N is still shy and does not want to go to any places but eventually does go and enjoying too. He started playing tennis again and doing good in the leagues. (he is playing after a year. He was having some sort of fear after he got a fracture last year).
Education: I think this has been successful end of year for both, G finished with all A/A- got into 3 honors for 10th grade. (very different from last year). He is also doing good in Football, he is still in tier 2 hopes to make it to tier 1 group. His confidence has increased very much, more happy(G is doing volunteering in ocean institutes, he has been working hard balancing sports, school and other stuff. N got into Enhanced Math in Middle school too.
God/Gurus: G and N attended the SRF summer camp , G has been going there for 6 years , this time he mentioned, mom, everytime I go there, have fun/meditate/learn and come back but this time I think I am bringing Guru back with me. We moved our Guru photos to the recommended zone.
N is reading Autobiography of a Yogi and happy to discuss with me. Even I was in an oscillating mode between different teachings/path but now I feel a good bond with Parahamsa Yogananda.
We even had a family Kirtan/meditation time, went to volunteering as a family (all for of us, last week). (its all work in progress, nowhere near perfection but according to me making effort and progressing in itself is great).
Health: All doing fine. N still has some skin issues..Because of different activities for kids, my husband and I get to walk on different trails (keeping us healthy , active and having more personal time together).
I can’t believe I am saying this but I feel more closer with my husband than I have felt in years. We have had some issues with family at home (even some of the family members are not happy with each other back in our home country), but I am surprised how my husband responded very positively and we sort of have a solution. We cannot change everyone’s attitude back there but we did our best to keep it smooth.
Finance: My husband had a minor car accident 2 years back and he was working with a lawyer. He got back around 6,000 or 7,000 dollars back after all expenses this May. We also might be selling off a an apartment so might get more cash here, if it works out we might have down payment to purchase a town-home here.
Overall I am happily busy, taking children to different activities that they enjoy and they are trying to excel. Actually after doing Vaastu changes things started moving so fast, so actually I slowed down a little bit and took time doing. So our home feels like its got its vigor back.
Biggest challenge I have been facing is cleaning and decluttering and keeping it that way. Requires lots of time and effort to keep each zone clutter free, by the time I work on one, other one become cluttered, still struggling with that. (summer makes it harder). We were living in 3200 sqft in Illinois , now we are at 1600 sqft and even in this some of the good zones fall in the closet, so if I have to clean it up, we really have to let go of some of the stuff. I will send another update once I complete the remaining recommendations.

Vaastu for Home Sales – SOLD in 6 hours!
I started working with Kavita on fixing the Vaastu of our house about six months ago. Initially, we were not working on selling this house, but wanted to fix the energy in order to increase health, reduce stress and bring in more abundance. We also thought if and when we sell it, the house will be ready for any new buyers and will bring them blessings and abundance as well.
Kavita visited us went over the house and told us where there was imbalance and what was causing the imbalance. She uses several tools for analysis before she does the vaastu. It includes astrological analysis, energetic scanning and clairvoyance.
I began with the bedrooms, then the bathrooms and the garage, then the washer/dryer and water heater areas since these last ones were in the wrong zones… The fixes were very simple to do. As soon as I did any minor change, I felt and experienced the effect on myself and everyone around me very quickly. I’m a believer in the effect of energy on our lives, and have been practicing energy medicine for 6 years, but I never had any experience with Vaastu before.
About three weeks ago, we found a new house that we liked and started thinking about selling this one. I was still not done fixing the Vaastu of the house, and was taking my time per Kavita’s advice: We should give time between every fix for the energy to settle and take effect. Kavita had told me that it was important to do the changes she had suggested for our entrance including painting it a specific color, but I told her I did not have the time to do it before putting the house on the market. So she used a specific energetic technique and antidote that was meant for us individually. We decided to put the house on the market on a Friday at noon. Four people saw the house that afternoon and by 6 pm that day we had an offer for more than what we expected!!
There are four other houses on the market in our neighborhood, and all of them are bigger in square footage than ours, some have basements, ours does not. All houses are similar in the same price range… Why is it that our house was sold so fast? I would gratefully blame it on Kavita’s guidance and Vaastu fixes. Thank you Kavita for everything! The fixes we’ve done, have not only brought us more money in that sale, but also balanced our family, our health and lives. Kavita is also a big believer in Karma and told us that our good karma also helped in this.
We are now working on the Vaastu of our new house as well so that when we start living there it is already in a state of balance.
I strongly recommend anyone to work with Kavita on the Vaastu of their homes or offices! Just watch how your lives and the lives of everyone around you change for the better!

I have taken pranic healing classes with Kavita some time back. About 2 and a half years ago my husband was having some professional stresses and I had thought of asking her to do our vaastu then, but my husband was not very inclined at that time.
But recently our son who is an academically gifted child and did very well in High School , did not get into any college of his choice. Kids who did not have a resume as good as his were getting into great schools and my son was becoming more and more depressed. He was beginning to think, he was not good enough. We were down to the wire with only two schools remaining where he was waitlisted. It was very disappointing for us especially when one puts in hard-work. One is told to be happy with what you have. That is true to some extent but I am pretty sure we all like to do our very best in whatever we do, whether it is studies, career, health, or service. Otherwise, the world would not be the way it is today
We were blessed when I had a conversation about getting a Vaastu consultation by Kavita. This topic came out of the blue since I have not talked to her in months and now all of a sudden this conversation comes up. And I told her about my son’s state of unhappiness.
She immediately agreed to check the Vaastu of our house and came over on the memorial day weekend. She looked at our charts as Vedic astrology and Vaastu are interlinked, spent several hours going through the house and pointing out the non compliant elements in the home. Since the house cannot be fixed at once, she focused first on helping our son who was out of town that weekend.
Kavita suggested some basic changes which we would never have done on our own. We get caught up with seeking solutions to world issues like global warming, but forget to see what is wrong with our own worlds. And that charity begins at home.
Vaastu teaches us the same thing that the change starts with our inner and outer world but 99% percent of the times, we are thoughtless or blind to certain things unless someone experienced can help us.
She gave us so many tips starting from positioning of objects, usage of colors, sleeping positions, dining, studying areas. We ignore so many things around us, but nevertheless her Vaastu experienced eye caught and explained in great detail each and every item in every room.
It was spectacular. We were told we did not need to do any structural changes that many Vaastu consultants incorrectly ask clients to do. The changes would be remedial only.
She started with focusing on our son suggesting several changes , from his bed position, moving certain things around and changing his desk and the direction he was facing. She also energetically blocked off the negative energy from our bathrooms, which were in the wrong zone.
Exactly 2 days after we applied the Vaastu fixes, our son got into one of the best schools in the country where he was waitlisted. He came with us to her home that same week to personally give her the news.
I wish now that we had gotten Vaastu done 2 and a half years ago when I had first thought of it, but then as she says, some of it Is karma also and things happen when they are meant to be.
We will be applying more changes slowly but already it has made a big difference in our life. My husband is a believer now and told her he could himself see the difference.

Healing relationships through Vaastu
I have taken workshops on energy healing with Kaveta and had my horoscope checked by other astrologers but was not aware of Vaastu Shastra.
I got married in September 2013, and had rented an apartment but not moved in yet. After we moved in the very day my husband and I started having arguments. We would not see eye to eye on anything. I would enter the bedroom and be happy for 5 minutes and then arguments would start and I would start crying. Within 6 -7 months I lost my job and could not find another one. I noticed that my husband also was having a lot of stress in his business which was in another country. One of his employees took out a loan at company expense without his permission to buy a house. He was always shouting at his employees on the phone. There was also a lot of negativity with my parents and sibling who are in the same town.
MY husband wasn’t sure he wanted to stay and left to look into his business affairs and I was seriously considering divorce. I had shown our charts before and after marriage to an astrologer who came highly recommended and he said Saturn was causing a lot of problems and that we will break up and a second marriage was going to happen to one of us. He recommended a strange antidote which I was ready to try out of desperation. Kaveta is also an astrologer and she looked at our charts and said what the astrologer had told was not true. That Saturn had nothing to do with whatever was happening and we were not running the so called bad Saturn time.
She said she would like to talk to my husband and also do a healing session with him. My husband says to this day that, that one session with her completely changed his entire perspective. He understood for the first time how to treat and understand a woman. After the session for the first time he was very calm and loving and sent me so many beautiful gifts. He also became very conscious of people around him and noticed how some people were trying to take advantage of him.
The next thing Kaveta suggested checking the Vaastu of our apartment. She came in and spent a long time looking at everything and then explained to me that our bedroom was in the wrong zone, as was our kitchen and would cause a lot of anger and tears, financial drain and lack of opportunity and that was what was happening. She wrote a report and has guided me step by step to make the changes. It has been really surprising to see that the very bedroom I could not spend 5 minutes without being angry or crying, is now a place where I am calm and peaceful-I’m noticing so many changes in myself. Another big surprise as she fixed the blockages in the areas that affected relationships and gave me tools, I am actually flying out to be with my husband and also visit other countries and meet my in-laws who do not live in the US.
I applied the techniques to heal my relationship with my parents and when I went over it really worked. They did not say or do anything that day to upset me which would happen every time.
We are still continuing to finish the remaining Vaastu fixes and things continue to change. I am also attending her workshops related to Vaastu so I can learn how to take care of things myself. I hope this inspires people to do the same and change and heal their lives.

We had sought Kavita’s help and guidance for Vaastu of our home as we had been through many trying situations over the last year. I have not worked with any Vaastu consultant before but I was really shocked at how much detailed analysis had to be done for Vaastu, especially in a house that is not new or empty. Kavita found our house to be very non-Vaastu compliant and explained in detail why it was so. Kavita’s report was very detailed including not only the major changes which needs to be done for Entrance and other major trouble areas but included remedies for almost every single object of our home. Obviously the numbers of hours she would have spent on analyzing and finding solutions for problems can no way be compensate for the consultation fee.
I was not very much into Vaastu but I trusted Kavita very much and her guidance. We got our Vaastu report around 6 weeks back but even before she sent the report she had already suggested many remedies to cleanse and purify the home.
As mentioned in the report, we did not incorporate all the changes at once. Kavita told us it would disturb the energy and soul of the house. So we started on one change at a time based on our priority. Kavita takes into account all the aspects of your life and checks the horoscope as well as provide other holistic solutions.
Within 10 days of making the changes, the first surprise came when I received a claim refund from my insurance company for around 800$. We had not filed any claim with the insurance company and it did not state any reason for the refund (even my skeptical husband was in disbelief, he just looked at the check for few moments and said ,”Wow, the Vastu changes are really working!”)
Within few days our tax consultant indicated we will be getting a big amount this year. Considering the fact that we have been only paying additional tax amount at the end of the year for many years , getting money back was great!. As I mentioned before I was not a big believer of Vaastu or luck, but then money inflow after a long time did definitely get me interested into Vaastu and how it works.
In the next few days, Kavita asked me to apply Kitchen changes ASAP. I also had been getting dreams that I was not feeling very well and a divine lady(I even thought it was the Mother Devi, I adore) was healing me continuously. I checked with Kavita on my dream and she mentioned that Kitchen is the woman’s domain and it affects health so she been been energetically fixing kitchen and shielding my front chakras. And did not tell me about all the healing as she did not want to me to pay for the healing again. I had tears in my eyes, as I was really touched by her caring nature and understanding our financial situation.
Activities/Relationship
One major change we saw , was my elder son who plays a lot of video games, went to the park by himself and was playing for 2 hours. He has a very strong willed personality and no amount of force can make him to do anything. With kinds words ,yes you can achieve a bit more, and I had been trying that he would not spend so much time on video games- but with Vastu, it was a quick 180 degree turn for him.
Now my son is taking after-school basketball classes 3 days a week and putting more efforts academically as well. His relationship with his dad is also getting better. Both seem to be talking now, having real conversations rather than advising or complaining about each other.
One major change we found was how active the family has become. Now kids are into many activities and enjoying them (not going to classes just because parents wanted them to, and also I had realized a mistake I was doing,trying to combine classes for my convenience rather than looking at my children’s preference). Once it has been sorted out, each one is off to activities of their choice (its been more than 8 months since they had gone to any activity regularly.T here were many obstacles due to health/school or other reasons).
My husband and I have also started taking long walks and playing tennis (as time permits) while the kids are at their activities. And this is again after a year or so.. and finally finding some time to exercise in a fun way after a hectic day of work.
Career:
We still need to incorporate all the changes Kavita wanted us to do but glad to report that I got an opportunity to work for a different project for few months, though it is not the end goal by itself, acquiring knowledge on some of the core systems is definitely a stepping stone towards my goal. This again happened 10 days back.
Health:
I have also found some answers to my health issues and Iam working on them, making changes to diet. My cravings for sugar has reduced to a great extent. which was one of the main reason for my health issues (atleast according to me). I noticed that earlier it was harder to stick to the diet but after the Vaastu fix, it has been very smooth.
I also found it interesting or rather intriguing that as we were clearing the clutter and working on each zone, it was also getting easy to get rid of many years or layers of resentment/frustation. It was like freedom from my negative thoughts ( fear, resentment and freedom from cravings for sugar).
Also happy to report that my fear and anxiety is gradually vanishing (one more reason why I was not driving my kids to activities).
I also received very nice compliments on my looks (with diet/exercise/emotional/energy healing effects of different components of Vastu). Though they look simple, sometimes happy moments are the ones we cherish more than incoming money.
I also had felt that in the past few months I was not able to meditate longer and was very restless.(was blaming it on health issues and work).
After shifting things around as per Kavita’s suggestions , I can definitely feel the difference (on my way to regain the joy found in meditation).
When we cleared our meditation zone, the very next week my husband and I had been to a Kirtan meditation(last minute we decided that we will go) and it was one of the best meditations we had been to at that temple. I felt so wonderful and was very happy to hear my husband reflecting the same feelings even before I could say anything.
We saw some changes when we shifted the directions of the musical instruments, kids are getting more interested in practicing at home and I found that I had been missing on one of my favorite hobbies(singing carnatic music, luckily found some of the music books while clearing the clutter!).
And yes if you are thinking did this all happen in the 6 week time period? Yes its all within this time frame and we have not even completed all the changes. Though the changes by themselves are not complicated to apply but finding appropriate objects has been little difficult. Clearing the clutter had been a major show-stopper for us. We had accumulated lot of junk and we do feel a lot better now with the lighter house and happier heart. Couldn’t be more happier when my husband exclaimed.. “It finally feels like we are at home!!”
My realization is that Vastu is not a quick fix, it does involve time and effort as with any major change we want to bring about in our lives(and if you had been on a detox diet,the first few days, we would see few side-effects based on how much toxins we need to eliminate before really seeing the positive impact).
I would also like to mention that when you face a situation when you are not able to apply a change because of structure of the house or any reason, Kavita immediately proposes alternate solutions. She is not like , “here is your report, you are on you own”, she is all the way guiding us on this journey of Vaastu Alchemy. I wish I had this expertise (and guidance of Kavita) few years back.
I don’t think we could have found a better Vaastu consultant than Kavita who looks not only your house plan but also various dimensions of life, how did we get into this house, what planets made us choose this home , what areas of our life are impacted? She provides a comprehensive solution based on her expertise in Vastu, Astrology, Pranic Healing and best of all her intuition!
I will continue to update on how the Vaastu changes are working for us once we implement all the proposed changes.

22nd June 2015 – Update
Happy to update that my sons G and N(names not mentioned to protect identity) got their end of year assessments last week.
N got selected into Gate (Gifted and Talented Education ) program for next year. Though he is very capable and very dedicated, we have been moving a lot (would have either missed the assessment) or the one he took in fall did not meet the cut-off so he never got into Gate program previously. So very happy when we got the notification about this selection.
Even the happy-go-lucky G who still thinks he can catch up when he is in high school, got placement in Enhanced Math Program. He is not lazy anymore, working hard in his basket ball practice /games (busy even during weekends,very positive change !! but still working on his attitude towards academics 🙂 All the Vastu changes for the Education zone did pay off.
